Galungan and Kuningan days.

Galungan and Kuningan  is one of the ceremonies of Hindus in Bali. 
Galungan is carried on every six months once. Hindus in Bali all make  preparation for welcoming the Galungan and Kuningan days. The women are busy building the facility for the ceremony and the man busy making a series of  Galungan completeness . The women making a Banten (offerings) and The man  Making symbol celebration of Galungan and Kuningan days. We call it Penjor (Bamboo decoration), Penjor is one of the sets of upakara for Galungan and Kuningan , but in general they make by the man. Penjor it symbolizes of dragon. Meaning of Galungan is  Dharma win from adharma, Where once the war with the Dharam adharma and finally the winner  achieved by the Dharma. That glimpse of the meaning of Galungan. Two days before, we call it penyajahan Galungan day, day after that we call Penampahan Galungan, Afterward  that is Galungan day . But after Galungan day still exist a series of events, we call the Umanis/Manis galungan day . 

• Penyajahan Galungan. Penyajahan Galungan is where the day we prepare various kinds of cake / Bali snack  such as: Tape, Uli, Dodol for a gift to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. today also called the feast day in the beginning of Galungan. 
• Penampahan Galungan: penampahan Galungan is the day before Galungan where both Hindus on Bali perform Nampah (animal slaughtering facilities for the ceremony) and our definition of facilities such as Satay, Lawar and a wide range of ceremonies. Besides, we also carry out the event and in Share slaughterhouses together, Say wrote "Mepatung" where they form a group of 10 to 15 people or more working together to cut the pork and then distributed evenly. On the night time, Hindus perform 
• 'Ceremony Abyakala' sort of ritual purification to avoid the bad influence of Sang Kala Tiga amangkurat. And here is the Man make 'Penjor' decorated with a bamboo leaf, like paddy, banana or other fruit, coconut and white or yellow cloth symbolizing prosperity and then mounted to the right of the entrance to the house. 
• Galungan: Today is the anniversary of the creation of the universe and its contents and also the victory of Dharma over adharma. Hindus do their praying in merajan( family temple ) and Pura( community Temple) with the present 'offerings' as a thanksgiving to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa for the peace and prosperity in the world. 

• Umanis/Manis Galungan: After praying at each merajan, Hindus do 'Simakrama' (each visit / silahturahmi) between the family / next of kin and neighbors to further strengthen family relationships. And Many people travel for vacation to a place with a Family together. 

It all is an explanation of Galungan.
Now the meaning of the feast of Kuningan . Kuningan  feast this fall ten days after Galungan.On the holy day is told Ida Sang Hyang Widi down to earth to give blessings for the welfare of all people in the world. Often believed, the ceremony at the feast of Kuningan should be done before noon, before the time of the Betara return to heaven ..
. On the day it is made of yellow rice, a symbol of prosperity and dedicating an offerings as a token of appreciation and eyelash and thanks we as human beings (people) received a gift from Hyang Widhi of clothing materials and food are all delegated by him to his people on the basis of love. In the tebog ( place for an Ceremony ) or selanggi containing yellow rice was planted a puppet (angels) who bestow the gift of prosperity to us all.
